Depending on how you use the Services, we may collect:

• Account information. When you sign in with Google, we receive your Google account identifier, name, email address, and profile photo URL.
• Optional contact details. You may provide a phone number during onboarding or profile setup.
• Family and child profiles. Parents or guardians may create child profiles that include a child's name, grade, school, mother tongue, additional languages, avatar, and related learning preferences.
• Family invitations. Email addresses used to invite other family members to join a shared family account.
• Learning activity. Lesson and quiz progress, engagement events, streaks, and related learning history.
• Device and notification data. Push notification tokens and notification preferences so we can send learning reminders and service messages.
• User-uploaded media. Photos or scanned notes you choose to upload (for example, family pictures or book pages), when those features are available and used.
• Support and reports. Information you submit in content reports or support requests, which may include your contact details and related account context.
• Local device preferences. Settings stored on your device such as the active child profile, playback preferences, and similar app state.
• Analytics and diagnostics. Product usage events, screen views, and related metrics. We use PostHog, which may also capture session replay. Replay is configured to mask images; text inputs may still be captured unless otherwise configured.

Depending on the platform and features you use, the Services may request:

• Notifications — to send reminders and service updates.
• Camera and photos / media — to take or select images for family pictures or document scanning when you use those features.
• Audio-related permissions — to play lesson audio, including background playback where supported.

We request runtime permissions where the platform provides them, and we use those permissions for the features described above.

We use the information described above to:

• Authenticate you and maintain your account
• Create and manage family and child learning profiles
• Deliver lessons, quizzes, progress tracking, and streaks
• Send invitations and enable family sharing within your account
• Send push reminders and service communications you enable
• Provide customer support and moderate content reports
• Improve product reliability and user experience through analytics
• Comply with legal obligations and protect the Services

We limit collection and use of personal and sensitive user data to purposes that support these Service features and that users can reasonably expect.

We do not sell personal and sensitive user data. We do not use advertising SDKs to serve third-party ads in the Services.

We share information with service providers that help us operate the Services, including:

• Google — Google Sign-In and Firebase (Authentication, Cloud Firestore, Cloud Storage, Cloud Functions)
• Expo / Apple / Google push infrastructure — Expo Push, and underlying APNs/FCM delivery for notifications
• PostHog — product analytics and session replay
• Hosting and content delivery — infrastructure such as Vercel for website/API hosting and lesson media delivery

Family members linked to the same family account may see shared profile information needed for family learning features (for example, names associated with profiles in the family).

We may also disclose information if required by law, to respond to valid legal process, or in connection with a merger, acquisition, or similar corporate transaction, with notice where legally required.

Easy Bhasha is designed for parents and guardians who create and manage child learning profiles. Accounts are created by adults using Google Sign-In. Child profile information (such as name, grade, school, and languages) is provided by the parent or guardian and may be processed for learning features and analytics as described in this policy.

If you believe we have collected information about a child inappropriately, contact us at easybhashaapp@gmail.com and we will review and take appropriate action.

We use industry-standard safeguards appropriate to our Services, including transmitting data over HTTPS and storing account and learning data with reputable cloud providers. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

We retain account and learning data while your account remains active and as needed to provide the Services. Certain engagement rollups may be retained for approximately two years where time-based expiration is configured. We may retain limited information longer when required for security, fraud prevention, dispute resolution, or legal compliance. When we do so, we limit retention to what is reasonably necessary for those purposes.

You may update profile information in the Services where editing is available. You can control notification permissions through your device settings.

To request deletion of your Easy Bhasha / EasyBhasha account and associated user data, email easybhashaapp@gmail.com from the email address associated with your account and include “Account deletion request” in the subject line.

When we delete an account based on a verified request, we delete the associated account data we hold for that app account, including profile information, family links where applicable, learning progress, related engagement records, invitations, and similar account-linked data, subject to limited retention that may be required for security, fraud prevention, or legal compliance. Account freezing or deactivation is not used as a substitute for deletion.

Our service providers may process data in the United States and other countries where they operate. If you use the Services from another region, your information may be transferred to and processed in those locations.

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will revise the effective date at the top of this page. Continued use of the Services after an update means you acknowledge the revised policy. For material changes, we may provide additional notice where appropriate.
